We welcome you to our website, which aims to inform about the educational, scientific, research, administrative and general academic activities of the School of Engineering in the University of Ioannina.
The School of Engineering was founded in February 2017 and its operation started in the academic year 2017-18, encompassing the Departments of Architecture, Computer Science & Engineering and Materials Science & Engineering. The establishment of the School was the fulfillment of a historic obligation of the state towards the region of Epirus in general and the University of Ioannina in particular.
Despite its young age, the School is already renowned because it is based on Departments with long history, and of high academic quality. For the University of Ioannina it comprises an important pillar, strengthening its profile in the Greek and international academic community. At the same time, it provides the means to secure and broaden the professional qualifications and rights of our graduates.
Engineering sciences are inherently interwoven with the productive fabric and development of a country, and are characterized by their contributions to the progress of society and the quality of life. Based on these principles and with genuine enthusiasm, the entire staff of the School works continuously to raise the level of its teaching, research and administrative operations.
